I help leaders understand new, disruptive forces.
Strategy today is often too slow, too conservative, and too set in old ways.

But the world is changing faster than too many realize. To compete in a rapidly changing world—as in sports, business, and life—organizations need to outperform the competition, not just whine about it. They need to understand disruption and cannot simply turn back the clock.
That’s why the United States, for example, has largely failed to adapt to the new Asia. Instead of just producers and exporters, Asians are now consumers and importers. They are capital providers, not just recipients. And economic integration is making Asia more Asian, much less American-centric, but without it becoming dominated only by China.
Leaders across organizations of all types need to understand risk and then ride waves of change. I’ve successfully navigated risk in both the public and private sectors. Helping leaders to succeed is at the core of my work.
